Adieu

Well friends, it's time for a break.

Not to worry, I'll be back later. But right now I need to take some time off to focus on several things that have been consuming my quality blog time lately. I know, can you imagine anything more important than blogging?

But it's true. Here are a few of the things I'll be busy with:

My music
Right now I'm playing with 2 different groups. My duet is constantly working up new material and The Receders are (hopefully) getting ready to go into the studio soon to record our first CD!

My degree
As I mentioned here, I am still a few bricks short of a full load (insert your own joke here). I've started looking into the best way for me to get my remaining credits and will most likely start school again very soon.

My wife's business
Charli's business is continuing to grow and she is now thinking of expanding. We need to focus on that and do a TON of research.

I know, I haven't written about it here at all. That's because Google is a double-edged sword with something like this. Because Google puts so much weight on "Blogger" blogs, almost anything I write comes up very high on the search list. Well, if I started talking about the facets of her business, new potential customers could easily be directed here and quickly be scared away for life - you know reading about things like poop and pee and etc.

My home
This old house needs some lovin, and as I've noted several times in the past, I am having trouble finding time to give it the attention it deserves. And stairs aren't the only thing that need attention around here. Trust me on this one.

That's just a few of the things going on here these days. So - with all that being said, right now I simply need to take a little time off and concentrate on this stuff.

Sure, I could continue to write silly fluff, post some memes or list my Google search results - but that's not the reason I do this. If I'm going to blog on a regular basis I'd like it to have at least a little substance - not just "filler" in order to get something posted.

So, until next time - thank you all for the months of entertainment you've provided me through your witty banter and thoughtful opinions. By far that's going to be the thing I miss the most.

(P.S. Please feel free to sign my guestbook if you want, especially if you haven't commented before. I'd love to know who's been stopping by all these months!)

No-No-No-Losing your blog, and then Jennine's, on the same day? It's too much for us to bear!!!We will be counting the hours until you're back again!! Feel sad, just thinking about it.

"Parting is such sweet sorrow" Thanks for the many hours that you and Jennine have entertained us with your wisdom and wit. Future small news flashes would be nice. How will we know if Austin becames a guest on the Ellen DeGenerous show? Who will tell us about the new record or if you finish the steps? A couple of days ago the women at the salvage center told how they enjoyed your Billisms. So as Bob Hope would say. "Thanks for the memories"!!

I hope you won't be gone long. But definitely check out my latest post since I did give you a shout out, and you're taking a sabbatical?? Is this like Grissom on CSI taking a sabbatical but really he left for good?!

brother, brother...I've read you everyday and enjoyed it so much. I'll bet you need to tend to those "crazy mixed up kids" (Billism!) Of course you know I'm totally kidding! Your kids are awsome-truly. Love them! You two do seem to have a lot to do, at all times! I envy your energy. (or is it just enthusiasm of life??)Anyway, we'll be in touch. I think we will plan a nite to see your band again. That is just so fun! Thanks for the laughs, and the peek into your lives. Love ya-sis

Oh, sure, I just discover the blog today and you're off and running. Ah, well... off to the archives.

Good luck with the house. I've got a bathroom remodel that I've got to tackle and I've been delaying it until after the holidays. Now, I'm screwed. Holidays are over.

Good luck with all that. Drop me a comment when you're back on the blogosphere...if you come back!

It's been great reading your posts and picking on you.

YES! Finnally. No more witty comments about me or posting any pictures of me when I was a toddler and in my underpants.

No actually I'm really sorry to hear this. You seemed to enjoy it so much.

Thank you all for the nice words of encouragment! This was a LOT harder to do than I ever imagined. Of course with friends like you out there I don't imagine I'll be able to stay away too long.

For all of you fellow bloggers, I won't be able to stop by as often as I used to, but I DO have each and every one of you on my feed reader so I'll still be reading your awesome blogs.

Thanks again everyone. I'll see you soon.

I don't know what Mom and Dad are going to do with their day without your blog. Anyway when you're ready to start a big project I'd be happy to come down and tell you what you're doing wrong. Other than dogsitting for Cindy in February, I've got every day off, so let me know.

Hello Brother, what will Mom,Dad and Rick do...They sit by the computer waiting..waiting and waiting for your next blog. Rick was here for 2 days and I think he checked your blog 3 or 4 times to see if anything had changed. Rick might have to get a job to take up his time till your back on the web. Fully understand the crazy family lifestyle...good luck.

your little brother Mike...
