Funny Business

This will probably be on everyone else's blogs all day today too, but I couldn't resist adding my 2¢ worth.

My pick for the best Super Bowl commercials goes to E*TRADE for these.

Totally awesome.

And speaking of investments...

Flip on over here to see what I had to say about putting all your money into pork futures. Ok, more like guinea pigs, but same thing.

Laughs are up, the NASDAQ is down at humor-blogs.com

Watching the game at a party is not real conducive to dissecting and analyzing the commercials. But, I have the game Tivo'd. With the result of the game not really what I had in mind, I will be able to fast forward through the game and watch the commercials. Those two were funny though, and I didn't see them at all last night.

Pat - Believe it or not I was thinking about you last night during the game. My condolences for your loss.

This is hilarious. Of course I have to put it on my blog tomorrow. That's too good to pass up.

By far I thought those were the best Superbowl adds. Cracked me up.

I haven't run across ad discussion. I would have done it but had more pressing business.

(By the way, I hear Tide makes a quick fix stain stick for that lipstick on your collar from the Mwah Award...or so says the super funny talking stain ad from the Super Bowl commercial run LOL <--- that is what we called written, wrapped and tied up neatly with a bow.)

That ad was awesome.

The Life Water Dancing Lizards were pretty hot, too.

The bloody heart jumping out the chest? GAH AWFUL I can't even recall what it advertised it was so dreadful. All of us at the party sat there, jaws slack in horror.

I think that baby should do some of my money market investing. I can't compete wtih that...he's got diapers...I still have to run to the bathroom.

the first of these didn't do it for me. but the one with the "creepy clown"? priceless.

and, maybe it's just me, but i thought the Bud Lite commercial with Will Farrell was hilarious. as was Coke's "Jinx. Buy me a Coke!" featuring Carville and Frist. i mean, it was mostly surprising, but still funny.

it was an awesome game. and that from someone who usually roots for the Pats. (sorry, but the Giants have been great over the past few weeks. how could we NOT want 'em to win??)

oh, and my FAVORITE (really really favorite) was the NFL's "Super Ad". especially the line "...now he's living the dream, and he didn't even know what the dream WAS, until I told him" (or something close to that).

genius. pure genius. ; )

Ha! Ha! I'm glad you posted those because I didn't watch the super bowl, but I would have liked to see the commercials. Love those two!

windyridge - Yes, by all means share the love!

rick - There were some pretty good ones and some odd ones, but I like these ones a lot.

julie - Yeah, I agree that heart one was weird too. The punch line was something about "follow your heart" to a new job. It was for CareerBuilder.com.

ve - Whatta mean? They make adult diapers.

neva - I thought the game was great too. I like to root for the underdog... which explains why I'm always cheering for the Vikings. D'oh!

groovy mom - Glad you like them!

E*TRADE ads were great. I also liked the dancing lizards. I think my favorite was everyone falling asleep and then drinking something, waking up and dancing to "What is Love." Jimmy Fallon walks through at the end and says "Stop that!" Clever. Except I don't know what they were advertising.

Those were funny little ads. Am I the only one who chuckled at the Macy's baloons fighting over a coke bottle and Charlie Brown catching it? I thought so.

Obviously I didn't find anything funny after the Patriots blew their chance to have a perfect season, who cares about 18-0 when you don't bring home the trophy!! They blew it big time and as for the Etrade commercial, didn't you find it a bit creepy to see a clown in the background? All I can picture is some perv. went into my baby's room and steal him from me.
