Hey, my parents' place makes ME fall asleep, too!
Oh, PS: i will be announcing the winner of the journal entry game on my blog this afternoon. Sorry Jeff, but you didn't win...LOL!
Frosted Mini Wheats? You gotta go all the way there buddy...Cocoa Puffs or Captain Crunch or Frosted Flakes!!! Sheez
OMG circus peanuts are the best!
I love FrostedMiniWheats. (I always say that like it's one word.)
Hey, have you ever pressed that handicap button on the word verification?
I thought it might help me, because I'm so retarded, but it didn't.
Last week I bought some sale priced "banana flavored" milk. As soon as I opened it I got hit by the smell of circus peanuts. What's worse than circus peanuts?
Circus peanut flavored milk.
jess - Maybe it's some kind of undetectable sleeping gas that only parents emit once their kids leave home.
ve - I really never liked Cap'n Crunch (ya gotta spell it that way) because it tastes too brown-sugary to me. And I like the extra fiber in Mini Wheats because you know, it helps with the whole gassy thing.
marie - Not.
teri - Remember their theme song? "All American, sugar or cinnamon, Frosted Mini Wheats!"
What is the handicap button supposed to do?
rick - Good grief, banana flavored milk?!! Just one question... why?
I'll keep you in mind the next time we have a box of those 3-flavored Popsicles and there's only the old gooey banana ones left in the package.
I'm dying to know how it happens that Windex makes you gassy.
Happy Birthday, Jeff's mom!
Why? The strawberry flavored milk reminded me of the Nestles Quick we had back in the 60's. But they were out of that, and at 99 cents a half gallon my Lois genes just couldn't pass it up.
I too would like to know the whold gassy/Windex correlation.
mom thumb - Just like anything else... when I drink it, it makes me gassy.
april - Yes! You know her here as either "mom" or "Lois." She's also married to Mr. Irrelevance - Bill.
rick - Ugh. I can't even imagine wanting to drink banana-flavored milk. *urp*
alice - All right... if you all must know. I started drinking it after seeing this scene from one of my favorite movies, The Man With Two Brains.
Dr. Michael Hfuhruhurr: I can't.
Fran: Can't what?
Dr. Michael Hfuhruhurr: I can't inject you with window cleaner.
Fran: I don't mind. Hey, what does it do anyway?
Dr. Michael Hfuhruhurr: It causes your brain to die last.
Fran: I don't mind.
See? If she didn't mind why should I?
HA! Circus peanut-flavored milk!
Getting back to your post: No amount of caffeine can keep me awake during a visit to my mother-in-law's house. And I'm not just drowsy, I'm yawning those big face-splitting yawns, lying on the floor, closing my eyes, zzzz...
JD at I Do Things
Jeff ~ I dunno what it does. I thought about it for a minute. I was thinking it must mean if you have a handicap that prevents you from seeing the word verification. So that would mean you are blind, right? So how would you then see the handicap button?
This is a mystery to me.
Where are the deviled eggs on the gassy list? We call them fart-bombs in our family because we're so classy.
Windex, really? I'm glad someone else already asked.
But I'm soooo with you on the small planes. And having a client in Fresno where no large planes fly sucked. Royally.
windex??
Lois is celebrating her birthday??
Well this deserves a song!

(Jeff is the one on the left and Rick is on the right)
Jeff, here is my list. . .
Fall asleep: Drinking beer.
Gassy: Drinking beer.
Nauseous: To much beer.
Nervous: Running low on beer.
Happy: Finding out that there is more beer in the pantry.
G-nite!
Jake
jd - Yikes, your comment made me yawn. Yawn yawn yawn yawn yawn. I defy you not to yaaaawwwwwn right now.
teri - I've clicked it before and it didn't do anything for me either. Maybe it knows we're a hopeless cause?
heather - No, I don't have a problem with those. But I'll make sure I remember that if we're ever at a pot luck together.
michelle - Thank God for Dramamine huh? For the planes I mean, not the Windex.
windyridge - Hey, if it was good enough for the Romulans, it's good enough for me.
jennine - Cute song. Except you got Rick and I mixed up. Trust me.
jake - I sense a theme here. Good one ;b
Please tell me you don't like those frosted mini wheat commercials tho...my sister loves them...they drive me...the the cereal is good :)
Jeff, actually it did do something for me. Well not for me. But it did something. :)
It played a bunch of jumbled sounds with some numbers that are barely discernable among them.
I just can't figure out what that is FOR.
Auditoriums make drowsy. Embarrassing at school plays.
And I thought the Windex stuff was a My Big Fat Greek Wedding reference.
I read the second item under nervous as "Heath Ledger." That confused me for a bit.
I forgot what I was going to say about your post, I got distracted reading comments and then I got distracted clicking on the wheelchair symbol. All I can say is that once it started, all I wanted was for it to stop. I'm going to write an email to blogger today about this issue
drowsey monkey - I'm not sure I know which commercials you're talking about. Although I do seem to remember a really dumb one that didn't seem to make any sense.
teri - I can't even get it to do that. Maybe it's because I use Firefox.
yello - I forgot about that one. :-) "...every ailment from psoriasis to poison ivy can be cured with Windex."
diesel - And did Brokeback Mountain confuse you for a little bit too?
doozie - Please make sure you share the results of your inquest.
Jeez. Sleeping with you is getting me nothing. (That's a line from a popular TV series, care to guess which?)
I'll have to look elsewhere for the answers. :)
UGH! Ditto on the circus peanuts!
Being in the car makes me fall asleep, not so good when you're the one driving!
teri - Well, I've never seen it, but the Googulz is telling me that's from Gilmore Girls. Am I right?
but momma - Circus peanuts are evil. Case closed.
Damn Googulz Monster!
i challenge you to a parental snooze-off! days with babe winkleman and evenings with jag or csi-milwaukee.
wait, i just realized csi must stand for "consciousness-slipping inevitable".
I don't think I want to know how Windex makes you gassy, but there my mind goes anyway, wondering. Damn that mind, always wondering...
I love this! Must copy soon!
