Remember that scene in Dumb and Dumber when they opened up the briefcase and it was full of I.O.U.s? Normally that would be really funny except that right now my 401k briefcase looks the exact same way. Not so funny now.
At least the low stock value is allowing my 401k to gobble up more shares during these troubled times. And the good news is, by the time I'm 90 I should be sittin pretty!
Speaking of finances... I just wanted to say thanks for all the great responses and suggestions on my wife's and my How we got out of credit card debt article. I was very happy to hear that some people were inspired by it. In fact, Phil sent me this photo the very next day.
Speaking of inspiration... We're off to Minneapolis tonight for Roseanna's first ever karate tournament. I've never seen a 12 year old kid so inspired by a sport or hobby in my life. She literally goes 3 times per week and practically panics if she thinks she's not going to make it on time. Hmm, I wonder if us Lees were somehow related to Bruce at some point in history? I mean if Sarah Palin can be related to Princess Diana then I guess anything's possible!
Speaking of "going"... I was cracking up yesterday when I went into the bathroom and had to do a "fly by" because someone was already in one of the the stalls. After I heard his "camo cough" I did a little "crop dusting" and headed for a "safe haven."
Speaking of flying... I gotta run. Hopefully Roseanna will come home with a trophy tonight. She's a lot tougher than she looks you know!
Have a great weekend everyone.
Roseanna came home tonight with 1st place in the sparring competition and 2nd place in form routine!
To answer Michelle's question... sparring is when you put on the pads and attempt to score points by making contact with your opponent through either punching or kicking them, and form is when you perform a rehearsed routine and try to execute it better than the other competitors.
Needless to say it was a great night for Rosie.
Oh, and I might have enjoyed it a bit too.
