What are the prices in your neighborhood?
$1.99 in my neighborhood. SUCH a relief!
I saw $1.63 today. (Denver)Woot!
About the same here. I haven't checked an exact price, as we've been driving on fumes for the past three days. I want to see how far we can go on those last few $3 vapors!
That's incredible. I haven't filled up in a week, so I'm not paying attention to the prices yet.Maybe we will actually see this price again!
I hope the lower pump prices do not stop the search for dependable energy.
$1.79--ish. I use my Kroger Plus card and frequent the Kroger gas kiosk. Up to 50 cents off a gallon--so my last fill-up was 1.29 a gallon.
Wow, I felt good that our gas is now down to $3.10 a gallon. But now I'm super jealous of all your prices. That's amazing!
jen - No kidding!danelle - w00t indeed. phil - You must not drive that car much. It hasn't been $3 for a few weeks now.kathy - Apparently Ed just did! (see above)bill - I agree. The one thing the over $4/gal ensured was pissed off people. Right now everyone's pretty happy with oil prices which in not necessarily a good thing.ed - Looks like you win... so far :-)elizabeth - And how ironic that Alaska has all that oil ;-)
It's been dropping here for a bit too, but it's still a lot more than you guys south of us. We're at about 76 cents/L, converts to about $2.89/L. Not too long ago it was over $1.30/L !!!
There are seven gas stations with a mile from my house (okay make it five), and the prices are... $1.96, $1.97, $1.96, $1.92, $2.09 (always one oddball), $1.89, $1.85. Still isn't $1.69 though. Yet. Maybe.Hopefully.
It was $1.77 here today. I didn't think I'd ever see that price again.
Holy crap! It's $2.49 here. NOT FAIR!!
Dude, you only showed the last 4 digits of your credit card number. Please provide all the other numbers to achieve optimal blog realism. Thanks!
I filled up two days ago at 156.9. It would be nice if I could jump up and down with joy, but given the fact that the stock market has reduced our retirement by 40%, we will be driving these cars to work until we're 90.
You know, I was feeling really good about my intent to pay $1.80something tomorrow when I filled up at Costco. I'm no longer satisfied with that price, and it's all your fault! :)
1.739 at Costco in Baltimore just a few hours ago. When it gets back down to 0.959 like it was when I was in high school I will dance on the roof of my car.
I need to move! It's $2.39 in Irvine, California but we saw some for $2.05 today in Anaheim!
I was amazed when we just went under $2.00 this week. I'm not complaining either, but doesn't it seem like gouging when it was $4.40 less than 4 months ago?
1.79 out here in the sticks.
It's $1.59 here. I sent a text to my daughter in L.A. telling her this and she responded with, "Yeah, but I get to live in California!"
We're at $1.99 most places. Although there are still a few places that only charge that price for cash but a higher price for credit card. Very annoying when you don't notice it until you are already pumping. (Although in my case I would still have stopped there, because I usually wait until I absolutely HAVE to get gas, but still...)
OK, I have to do complicated math so hang on... $1.08 Aussie dollars/litre... 4 litres=1 US gallon (roughly)... $4.32 Aussie dollars gallon... Aussie dollar is shite so that's... carry the one... $2.73USD a gallon. You lucky bastard.
We're still over $2, but I'm not complaining either.
Just over $2, which is about 40% of what it was. I'll take it.
I've got everyone beat -- 71.2 cents. Of course, that's in Canadian dollars, and priced per litre. Still, considering our gas was up at about $1.30 a litre just a few weeks ago, I'll gladly take it.
Me, neither! I am just going to keep quiet and hope they don't realize their mistake! Yesterday Peter filled up my gas tank and it only took $25!!! At the beginning of the year it took $60, and over $100 to fill Peter's truck.
I live in connecticut - it was $1.89 yesterday - i did a happy dance!
With Obama determimed to switch to alternative energy, and the Japanese comming out with electric cars next year, the oil companies are finally getting nervous enough to make only twenty billion each per quarter instead of forty billion. They are hoping that if they lower the price a little, people will be less willing to switch and make their poisonous product obsolete.
holy cow.I contribute to gasbuddy.com cause I'm a geek like that but here locally we have 1.89 at Costco. You can see your local gas prices (and cheapest around town on gasbuddy)
That is an odd price. It's 79 cents a litre here ... don't know what the conversion is all I know is it was over a dollar a few months ago so I'm happy.
Maths for me too. Its around £0.95p/litres in the UK. Exchance rate is about 1.6 = $1.52.Now let me see, 3.7 litres to the US gallon that gives me around $5.62 per gallon (it is actually about 10% lower than a few weeks ago).In light of this, I refuse to listen to any complaining Americans or Australians
Jeff, filled up today. It's $1.82/gallon here in eastern PA. Joy of joys, but still wondering where these nice prices will come back to bite us.
I'm glad Sam did the maths for me, yes, I bought diesel yesterday at around £1.05 per litre, which is cheap, it only cost me £65 to fill my car rather than the £80+ that its been doing for most of the year. On the plus side I've used a quarter tank today at an average of 49.7mpg so can't grumble :)
