Oh well, no big deal. I'll be blabbering on about important things like poop, young Jeffrey and Mr. Know-It-All before you know it. But right now I'm just a wee bit busy with things.
For example, I'm busier at work than I've been in years - which is a very good thing actually. But it also sends me home more exhausticated than usual which pretty much saps my creative juices dry.
Also, I've been extra busy with my music lately too. This Friday will be the 3rd weekend within a month that I've played somewhere - which is a very good thing too but also leaves me exhausticated as well. Sadly, my days of coming home at 3 a.m. ready to party until sunrise are over. Instead, coming home at 3 a.m. leads to me walking around in a fog the rest of the weekend trying to find a time and place to take a nap.
So that's all I got for today... except for the MAJOR shoutout I want to give to each and every one of you who dropped me a suggestion in my last post.
You guys rock and have pretty much saved the day :-)

Oh for the days when we could stay up all night and still do a full days work the next day ;O) Now for me, just mustering up the energy to go out in the evening is difficult at times.
I remember when I wouldn't even think about going out to party before 11:00 at night. It just wasn't cool. Now it's hard to stay awake past 9:00. My younger self would be ashamed.
Hey guy, it ain't the 80's anymore... take it easy and don't get too exhausticated.
Go take a nap; we'll be here when you're back.
Nothing?
Hey, I've got some of that too.
Only, it's the bad kind of nothing. It's nothing when I actually want something.
And when I don't want anything, I can't find nothing.
Very frustrating.
Nothing. You has it. I has it, too.
Add me to the "I got nothin' club." I remember the days of going out at 10PM, coming home at 3AM, and not feeling too horrible after about five hours' sleep. If I did that now, I'd have to be hospitalized. Hang in there.
Nuthin don't mean nuthin if it ain't free!
I hear that! I haven't posted since Halloween. And when I think about the holidays coming up and everything that I have to do, I don't know when the next one will be coming. Hopefully soon. Get some sleep.
Take good care of yourself now---your mommy isn't there to do it for you!!!
it's funny, my creative juices don't get going unless i atually do have a lot going on. with brad out of work right now i'm going nuts...
What I wouldn't give for a nap!
Don't you just hate days like that?
Nap time is NEVER a bad time, of course I have to do mine at work, where it's a tad bit quieter. :)
babs - I know what you mean. My wife and I had plans to go out and have a glass of wine the other night. But by the time 8:00 rolled around we were already too tired to head out. Oy.
elizabeth - Our younger selves would have called our current selves old farts.
maureen - Hey, who do you think I am, Rip Van Winkle? ;-)
phil - I think that made sense. You're nothing if not cryptic.
gette - Sounds like lots of people has it.
kathy - I know. It's pretty sad when 3 a.m. knocks the wind out of you for 2 more days.
teri - Good enough for me and my Bobby McGee. :-)
mom thumb - Thanks. Snnnzzzz.
mom - Thanks mom, but you don't need to worry about me or take care of me anymore. I'm a grown-up now. Oh, and btw... I could use a new package of underwear for Christmas.
memarie - For me it's more about being to tired recently to fire up the computer and write creatively. All this brilliant stuff I write isn't automatic you know ;-)
ed - No doubt. Five young kids will do that!
roger - But wouldn't you know it... the times when you CAN take a nap, you're not tired!
I'm glad it isn't just me. I'm still working on Halloween if that tells you how my life is going :)
Can't wait to hear what lesson you actually taught....
Actually, I kinda prefer Kris' lyrics:
Nuthin ain't worth nuthin... but it's free!
The inability to party hearty is one of the saddest things about getting older. I'm still in my pj's after my party session till 2:00 last night. I think I'll just stay in them till bedtime. :-P
Jeff: It is simple. Just quit work and take up writing. We all enjoy your honesty and humor'
Working for a living stinks. And I'm not even as busy as you are!
Saving the day is what your peeps are all about. What day is not worth saving you ask? I don't know.
Being busy with your music doesn't sound like a bad thing at all. At least, you're having fun, right?
Hmm...I missed your last post re discussion topics. Can I put in a plea not to post about poop? LOL!!!
You know, it's amazing how many guys talk about that!? What is that?? LOL!!
Can't wait to hear how it all ended up. Take care!
i think that we are supposed to have nothing from time to time.
it's a matter of letting our brains rest a bit.
not saying i don't feel same. i always start to freak when i haven't taken a photo by sundown.
boy, i hear you. there's are days i think of retiring from blogger i'm so busy. but then i remember my 4 followers. i couldn't do that to them.
BTW - I recommended the Receders to a friend looking for a wedding reception band next summer. she was very impressed with what she heard on the website and I'll likely join her to come hear you live soon!
