Be right back...

No need to worry, I just need to take some time off.

Longtime friends of this blog know I've done this several times in the past. Sometimes with actual time off and other times for just a few days. I'm not going to bore you all with the reasons, but let's just say I'm a little overextended these days with things like:

- finishing up our CD in the studio
- practicing and performing with my band and duet
- being a professional chauffeur to my kids
- needing to do a better job of keeping our household together while Charli takes on a month of full-time training during evening hours for her new position at her job (as a result of a nice promotion!)

What this means to you is that you won't see me around your places for a little while. I know... it just won't be the same without me around. But please do try to manage.

I'd hate to be responsible for the complete shutdown of the entire blogosphere.

Heck, I was playing cards with my doctor tonight and he gave me a couple things to ask Amswer Man. I guess I have to wait. You deserve a little time off.

Enjoy your time away!

Since you're taking a working vacation--think you could help me out with some neglected chores around here?

Enjoy your break!

Well thank goodness for pharmaceuticals to get me through. Pass the codeine! Seriously, enjoy your time off. We'll be here when you get back.

I have no problem with you taking some time away - god knows I only post about one day in thirty.

However, your test pattern image has a T-Rex in it, and it is mocking me.

Make it stop.

But I made Bacaroni and Cheese just for you!

Don't work too hard. We'll all still be here when you get back.

Mom Thumb - Thanks. I need more good luck with my available hours!

Elizabeth - That would be yes ;-)

Bill - If your doctor wants Amswer(?) Man to answer questions for him, I'd get another doctor.

Whit - If only it was actual vacation...

Kathy - Thanks. I hate it when the seat is cold. Especially at 3:00 in the morning.

Tony - Do you happen to own the Motel 6 chain? ;b

Ed - I'd be happy to, but you'd have to bring the chores here.

Jacki - For as much as I enjoy recording... it's a ton of work and I'll be happy when it's all done so we can get onto the business of playing the music live.

Mooselet - I know you will, you always have in the past. And I most certainly appreciate it.

sinistedan - I was going to use the one with the indian chief, but I didn't know if I would be violating some kind of PC law or something.

teri - Is that a !!!!!!!!!! of angst I see? Aww... how sweet.

JD - Don't laugh... I've been craving Bacaroni and Cheese ever since you first mentioned it!

We'll miss you.

I think we all can appreciate the necessity of a bloggy hiatus. Take all the time you need.

I'm crushed. But on the plus side, this is one less blog I need to read daily then which gives me *this* much more time to get done what I need to get done ;) But come back. And enjoy your catchups!

Oh -- perfect word tonight. "bahfun"

Jeff said...

Sandy - Likewise.

Marie - I like it. Hiatus sounds so much more professional than "taking a blog break."

Michelle - Don't worry, as Ah-nold said... "I'll be baaach!"

Windyridge said...

Aw shucks, come back soon. Seriously though, enjoy your break and good luck with the recording.

Sometimes we just have to put some things on hold in order to do the other things well :O)

No-No-No!!! The "funnest" part of everyday, is reading your blog and all the fun comments!! But--I'm proud of you for doing the right thing for your family, so--"God Bless", and come back soon.
