I'd like to take a minute to wish my dad Bill a VERY happy 82nd birthday!
We all know and love Bill for his infamous Bill-isms as well as the many mostly-relevant comments he leaves on this blog. Bill has been reading this blog since my first post back in 2005 - and I look forward to every one of his comments. I like to tease him that they are "mostly-relevant" because he has a knack for slipping off topic every now and then, which to me is hysterical. I also like to tease him because I'm a smart ass... which is completely relevant because I got that from him.
So anyway... Happy birthday dad. I hope you have a fantastic day!

And speaking of happy things... I just stumbled on this post sitting in my drafts folder collecting dust. It happens to be part two of my Happiness Is post and somehow I had forgotten to publish it back in March when I wrote it.
These uplifting comments were provided by you as a result of my request for your happy thoughts. Turned out that so many people submitted entries I needed two posts to list them all. So then... here are the rest.
Happiness is...

I feel so happy now!
I just got into town, and read your last blog. I feel the need to defend myself. I didn't hear you call Bill "Jim" until I was walking toward the car to leave. Too late. Happiness is watching your little brother put his foot in his mouth.
gette - Then my work here is done. :-)
rick - Have you ever tasted size 11 shoe? It's not too bad.
Happy bday, Bill!
Happy Birthday, Bill! I was going to mail you a card but we just got back from the Boundary Waters and are now in the process of helping Jess and her roommate move. But I was thinking about you. :-)
Happy birthday, Bill! It's a good one -- today is MY husband's birthday... and tomorrow is Little Miss's :)
And oddly, I SOOO don't remember writing those happiness things, but I can see me saying ummm most of them!
I'm thinking Flowers more than lowers, but apparently I am picky.
Happy birthday to Mr. Bill!

Happy birthday, Bill!
My dad's birthday is coming up (8-11), but sadly he passed away 7 years ago. I know he'd love my blog and would have made lots of funny comments. I'm happy to see how much you love and appreciate your dad. He's awesome!
Happy birthday to Jeff's dad.
Happiness is getting back online after you've been down for a few days :)
Happy belated birthday to your dad and thanks for the happy thoughts. A good way to start the weekend.
Awww! How sweet!
This makes me want to compile a happiness list of my own.
jd - I have no doubts your dad would love your blog. *I* love your blog and we've never even met IRL. :-)
babs - Yes... that is a happy feeling!
unfinishedrambler - I agree. A good dose of happiness never hurt anyone.

Happy belated birthday Bill! My dad is 82 too, (May 11th). He reads, but never comments on my blog. I love your input! Hope you had a great one with lots of cake and good company.
This is a great site you have here. I have a humor blog myself and I would like to exchange links with you. Let me know if this is possible. Until then, I look forward to reading some more of your posts. Take care.
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday Bill! May you celebrate many, many more!
