I'd like to take a minute to wish my dad Bill a VERY happy 82nd birthday!
We all know and love Bill for his infamous Bill-isms as well as the many mostly-relevant comments he leaves on this blog. Bill has been reading this blog since my first post back in 2005 - and I look forward to every one of his comments. I like to tease him that they are "mostly-relevant" because he has a knack for slipping off topic every now and then, which to me is hysterical. I also like to tease him because I'm a smart ass... which is completely relevant because I got that from him.
So anyway... Happy birthday dad. I hope you have a fantastic day!
And speaking of happy things... I just stumbled on this post sitting in my drafts folder collecting dust. It happens to be part two of my Happiness Is post and somehow I had forgotten to publish it back in March when I wrote it.
These uplifting comments were provided by you as a result of my request for your happy thoughts. Turned out that so many people submitted entries I needed two posts to list them all. So then... here are the rest.

My own real happiness and my own true thing that makes me smile every time is a child. Things can be at their very worst but it's always the children who bring light into my life ~ no matter how dark it gets.
I’d rather kiss the face of a baby than do anything else in the world. It is the children that matter.
