Mystery Monday

You ever see those puzzles where they show you two pictures side by side and you have to try to figure out what is different about them?

Well I've got a good one for you. Here are two different photos of Austin, virtually indistinguishable in every way. But I've added some subtle differences to fool you. See if you can spot them.

I know... this is a tough one. It's like you're looking at the same picture twice. Well, let me help you out.

What's Different?
1. The hat
2. The extra shirt
3. The picture over the other shoulder
4. The crucifix
5. The hand railing

Oh, and one more slight difference...

6. The angry look that says I want to bite your face off versus the smiling, happy face.

I guess some people are just not morning people. It's amazing what an hour can do, isn't it? Oh, and also having your braces removed after 3 years. Yeah, that helps too.

I was just about to point out the braces thing, and then you surprised me with it yourself. Nice post. Sweet, basically, but in a totally dude way.

The first face is what Austin used to think of girls. The second is when he fell in love. It reminds me of the priest that asked the rabbi if he ever eaten ham. The rabbi said, yes. The rabbi then asked the priest if he had ever been out with a woman? The priest said, yes. The rabbi replied, sure beats ham, doesn,t it.

Wow, only three years. I think I wore mine for nearly six. And my teeth are still crooked!

No freaking way!

Heather got hers off today too!

Holy crap that is weird....

Congrats Austin!

mikewj - Got it bro... totally.

bill - I'm not sure I get this. And I'm reasonably sure I don't want to.

ed - Uh, yeah - sounds like a great deal! For your ortho that is. ;-)

maureen - Tell Heather congrats as well! Hey, you should write a sister post. Or at least a daughter post.

His teeth are so beautiful! Thanks for all the hard earned money you put toward those teeth baby!

Yay Austin, no more metal in the mouth, just in the ears. :) Rock on!

Looking good Billy Ray!

That must be so strange to feel smooth teeth again after 3 years. Congrats to him!

I think I dodged a bullet not ever needing braces. Looking good there Austin!

(Jeff, your dad cracks me up.)

In hindsight, mine came off after tow years, right after my dad dies, and coincidentally when we couldn't pay for them anymore. The teeth are better, but far from "right."

anon (aka Charli) - No biggie. They couldn't have cost very much. Right? I mean how much could braces possibly cost?

roger - I thinks it's more like... "No more wrap around the teeth, just in the ears. Hip hop on!" Or not.

pg - Hmmm, you'll have to explain the Billy Ray Cyrus reference to me. Did he have crooked teeth?

heather - That's what I said too, but he was just "eh... it's alright." Whatever I guess.

kathy - Please, don't encourage my dad. He'll just keep doing it.

gette - Me too. My teeth look ok from the outside, but my dentist wanted to refer me to an ortho to get them "fixed." I said, "Too late... they're as fixed as they're gonna get!"

Bum Rap, I heard it no longer is a men only skateboard group, and she is pretty.

Always a good day when the braces come off. We celebrated both times with lunch at Olive Garden.

I've never worn braces but I imagine it must be a real nuisance at times.
Especially when the person wants to eat messy gloppy stuff like cheese or fudge... or stuff that gets mashed into the crevices, like potato chips or Doritos.
So it must be a HUGE relief to finally be done with all that hassle. :)
Yay Austin!

Congratulations on getting the braces off! It must geel so weird!

Hmmm. Amazing how identical the two photos are. I would never have gotten the answer. Oh, and the teeth are fabulous now. Yay for braces...and for their removal.

Don't tell me you missed PG's "Billy Ray" reference to Trading Places...you know "Looking good Billy Ray..."

That aside, I'm not sure why he's smiling with that wooden spear impalled into his shoulder like that. I would thing that would hurt...

It sure is nice to have the handsomest grandchildren on the planet!!!

bill - Are you doing this on purpose to make me insane? Because it's working.

mom thumb - Shhh... don't give him any ideas.

janna - You know, they say you're not supposed to eat all kinds of things, but all 3 of my kids have/had braces and I never saw any of them not eat whatever they wanted. I think Myth Busters should look into that.

elizabeth - Oddly, he didn't seem too fazed by it. Either did his girlfriend. Kids, I tell ya.

leeuna - I know, those pictures are virtually one and the same. I wear bifocals though so I was able to spot a few of the differences.

ve - Thanks for the Billy Ray info. I suppose I could have looked it up, but that would have required some clicks and keystrokes, and who has time for that. And about that spear thing... did you ever see the movie The Omen? Yikes!

mom - Ah... you're such a good grandma. :-)
