Oh, and yes, by the way, I too commute on a train now, two hours each way but fortunately its only for one week in four, the rest of the time I work from home.

The train is already one of our "125" trains (thats its top speed, 125mph) but I've just read that after some new high speed lines have been laid next year the journey will be cut to 1hr 10mins - Jesus, how fast is that going to be then, I don't think I dare travel THAT fast.

First off, congratulations on getting a job! That is awesome, and I wish it would have come sooner for you and your family.

Secondly, I used to have to drive an hour and a half to a job, which got worse with even the hint of moisture in the air.

Finally, riding the bus and train, if that doesn't just scream blog material... I'm sure your funny bone will be back bigger and better than ever. No doubt about it.

Not a bad commute at all. Many folks around here drive at least 45 minutes, and I really had to think hard about turning down the hour fifteen commute. Next year I won't be so choosy. You can let someone else drive you and spend the time blogging!

Considering that my job has me driving to 18 county courthouses, the closest being an hour away, the farthest about five, that's not so much of a commute! Randy took a job in Norman, OK, and I am going to be losing both my jobs in the move, though, so that sucks. But I am SO very happy that you have found something you like, AND that you are back on the blog. Missed you!

Oh, and I think 1.5 hrs on a train that allowed me time to read and relax would be nice. I drive that long to drop off 2 kids at 2 different schools on my way to work--often longer than that. It sucks.
